This article explains how to combine rooms with multiple ControlSpace EX-1280Cs.

Procedure

In ControlSpace Designer, drag 2 (or more) EX-1280Cs into the Project View.

 

Drag a Conference Room Router (CRR) into each EX-1280C, and select the corresponding inputs and outputs in Conference Room Router Configuration. For example EX-1280C 1:

Repeat the above steps to drag a Conference Room Router into the other EX-1280Cs.

Select AMM-Gain Sharing or AMM-Gated, and drag it into an EX-1280C.

            

 

When you drag an AMM into the Signal Processing View, you'll be prompted to set the number of inputs:

 

Repeat the above steps for other EX-1280Cs. The AMMs must be the same type in each processor.

Double-click each AMM, and select CRR in the Link drop-down list:

 

If it is an AMM-Gated, the steps for setting the Link option are the same as above.

 

In the toolbar at the top of ControlSpace Designer, select RCGroups to display the RCGroups window.

 

Drag and drop all Conference Room Routers (marked CRR 1 and CRR 2 by default) into RCGroup 1:

 

Note that the Conference Room Routers now have additional inputs and outputs at the bottom:

 

After dragging all Conference Room Routers to RCGroup 1, the CRR will automatically connect the Dante inputs and outputs of the EX-1280Cs.

 

Double click on any CRR :

 

Click on the Room Combine Control Panel in the lower left corner:

  

 

The Room Combine Control Panel interface is displayed.

 

Click on multiple adjacent white squares to represent multiple rooms, and connect two adjacent rooms according to the arrows 1, 2, and 3 below:

 

If you need to delete a room, click the square you want to delete, then click Delete. Click Clear All to clear all rooms.

Click OK and close the Room Combine and Conference Room Router windows:

 

Click the Parameter Sets icon in the top toolbar of ControlSpace Designer to display the ParameterSets window:

 

Move the mouse to Param. Set 1. Select it and then right-click.  Select Rename to rename it to "Uncombined" and hit the enter button on the keyboard.

 

Drag all Conference Room Routers onto Param. Set 1: Uncombined.

 

Note that 1 and 2 are independent ("Split"). Select the CRRs you want to save, then click Assign at the bottom right of the window.

 

Move the mouse to Param. Set 2. Select and right click. Select Rename to rename it to "Combined" and hit the enter button on the keyboard.

 

Double click any Conference Room Router block, and then click Room Combine Control Panel.

Click on the middle of two adjacent squares, the red position in the following figure:

 

Note that the red box surrounding the two squares indicates that they are now combined:

 

Close the Room Combine and Conference Room Router windows. Drag the Conference Room Router blocks into Param. Group 2: Combined

Note that 1 and 2 now show "Join." Select the CRRs you want to include, then click Assign at the bottom right of the window.
