Procedure
Using Bose Work Configuration
The following steps detail checking and updating Videobar firmware using the Bose Work Configuration software
- Ensure that the VB1 or VB-S is connected to your Windows PC or Mac using a USB cable.
- Launch the Bose Work Configuration software.
- Access Administrator configuration settings by clicking the Administrator icon and entering the password (default password: Bose123!).
- Once you're logged in, the Status tab will automatically appear, and you can check the current firmware on this tab.
Using Bose Work Management
The following steps detail checking the Videobar firmware using the Bose Work Management software
- Ensure that the VB1 or VB-S is connected to a wired or wireless network to which a Windows PC with an instance of Bose Work Management is also connected.
- Launch the Bose Work Management software.
- Locate the relevant Videobar in the device list and click the checkbox to the left of the device name.
- In the control panel, click the Configuration tab. The version number will be displayed under Firmware Version.
Using a Web Browser
The following steps detail checking the Videobar firmware using a web browser.
- Ensure that the VB1 or VB-S is connected to a wired or wireless network to which your computer is also connected.
- Type the IP address of the Videobar into the address bar of a web browser on your computer, and press Enter. (If it is unknown, the IP address can be determined using the Bose Work Configuration app via USB or using the Bose Work Management app which automatically discovers Videobars on the network.) The Bose Work Configuration WebUI will open.
- On some browsers, a security warning like the one pictured below, may appear. This is normal and not a security risk. Click Advanced, and then proceed to [IP address]. (If you are ever unsure about performing an operation on your computer, in a web browser, etc., check with your IT/system administrator first.)

- Type the admin password in the Password field, then press Enter or click Sign In.
- In the Status window the firmware will be the third option down.
